Begin your trip in Savannah, “The Mother City of Georgia”, with 22 restored squares wrapped with history and beauty.  Board a trolley or take a walking tour to enjoy all the sites, sounds and mystery of Savannah.  Shopping, art galleries and unique eateries can be found in just about every corner of the downtown historic district under majestic live oaks draped in Spanish Moss.

 

While in Savannah be sure to sample some of her great food.  Savannah is home to some of the best restaurants on the East Coast.  Stop by the famed The Lady and Son’s, Mom and Nikki’s or Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room for the best in southern fare.  Be sure to save room for dessert!

 

Tybee Island in Georgia

Take the short drive across the beautiful coastal marshes to Savannah’s beach, Tybee Island.  Take a walk on the white sand beaches and enjoy the laid back atmosphere that Tybee is known for.  While at the beach, don’t miss out on a meal at the Crab Shack, where as the NY Times declares “the elite eat in their bare-feet.”

 

Brunswick and the Golden Isles in Georgia

After a few days of exploring in Savannah, head south along beautiful US 17 towards Brunswick and the Golden Isles.  Visit charming small towns such as Richmond Hill, Midway, and Darien along the way.
