The Candlelight Vigil is a big part of the events, starting on the evening of 15th and lasts well into the morning of the 16th August, the anniversary of Elvis' passing. Fans walk holding a candle, quietly remembering Elvis, up the driveway of Graceland to the Meditation Garden. The gates remain open until all who wish to participate have done so.

There are also tens of thousands of participants that gather on Elvis Presley Boulevard during the evening listening to music and enjoying Elvis. The streets are also lined with memorials created by fans.
