From 10th–17th August thousands of Elvis fans make the annual pilgrimage to Graceland, and Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo Mississippi, to honour the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Celebrating 36 years, Elvis Week has become a pop culture phenomenom for lovers from around the world.

Elvis Week 2013 


In 2013 there are more events than you can shake a stick at. We're talking concerts, a "Viva Las Vegas" film and dance party, Elvis Tribute Contests featuring Ben Portsmouth from the UK, panel discussions with Elvis co-stars, autograph sessions and much more. Fan Appreciation Day in Tupelo
Saturday 10th August

Tupelo Fan Appreciation Day means fans can enjoy a day filled with live Elvis entertainment, Elvis stories, tours and more at Elvis Presley's Birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi. You can explore the humble beginnings of the king. Transportation is also available from Graceland.

Wrap up the day with the Outside Amphitheatre Concert featuring the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist winner form 2012, Ben Portsmouth from the UK, at 7:00pm, which is also competing to win the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist again this year.


Viva Las Vegas - Elvis Week
Tuesday 13th August

"Viva Las Vegas" Movie and Dance Party takes place on the Main Stage at Graceland from 7:00–11:00pm. Take your dancing shoes for a night filled with fun and excitement. You start the evening with a screening of Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas" which is sure to have everyone on their feet singing along and dancing in the aisles.

Then after the film continue to dance the night away as a DJ plays some of your favourite Elvis music.


Candlelight Vigil at Graceland for Elvis Week
Thursday 15th August

The Candlelight Vigil is a big part of the events, starting on the evening of 15th and lasts well into the morning of the 16th August, the anniversary of Elvis' passing. Fans walk holding a candle, quietly remembering Elvis, up the driveway of Graceland to the Meditation Garden. The gates remain open until all who wish to participate have done so.

There are also tens of thousands of participants that gather on Elvis Presley Boulevard during the evening listening to music and enjoying Elvis. The streets are also lined with memorials created by fans.
