Mardi Gras, which is French for Fat Tuesday, always falls 46 days before Easter so in 2018 it will fall on Tuesday, 13th February. The two weeks leading up to Mardi Gras are packed with street parades featuring bands, marching groups and large floats packed with costumed riders throwing beads and other trinkets to the masses in the streets. New Orleans might have the biggest parades and the biggest parties throughout the Carnival season, but other cities across Louisiana also join in on the fun. Start planning your Mardi Gras holiday for 2018! Email Louisiana@deep-south-usa.com for information and maps and visit BA.com to book your flights.
