The Hairy Bikers' Mississippi Adventure is starting on Sunday 19th August at 9:00pm on the Good Food Channel

Britain's leading food channel, Good Food, has commissioned a landmark exclusive series from Mentorn Media, called Hairy Bikers' Mississippi Adventure. In this ultimate food and music pilgrimage, the perennially popular Hairy Bikers are getting back in the saddle as they explore the iconic Mississippi River. The six-part series of hour-long films sees the Hairy Bikers explore the Mississippi River through the Deep South USA in pursuit of the roots of soul food and Southern music. Each episode of the Hairy Bikers Mississippi Adventure is themed by a different Southern music genre and accompanied by the locations and food stories that help to define them with Soul, Jazz, Blues, Rock and Roll, Cajun and Country.

The Hairy Bikers said "We are over excited about our trip to along the Mississippi River: the mix of music, food and motorcycles goes back to the roots and soul of the Hairy Bikers. The series promises to be a journey of discovery into the culture of food and music of the Deep South USA. We visit New Orleans for Blues and Tamales; Memphis for a Soul Stew and Fried Chicken; Nashville for Country and Western, Pulled Pork and 'Slaw and Lafayette for  Cajun and Shrimp Creole. Living the true spirit of an American road trip, we set out on Harley Davidsons to cover more than 3,000 miles of American tarmac. It feels good to be on the road again. Get your helmets ready and come along for the ride!"

Alongside the series, the Hairy Bikers are also launching their first App to help viewers follow their journey via an interactive map, whilst learning more about the dishes, recipes, flavours and tips from people the bikers meet along the way.

Not only will they be able to follow the Bikers on screen, but also through their first ever App they will be able to find out additional hints and tips for each of the detailed, original recipes discovered on their journey." will also complement the material featured in the series and App through additional filmed content. Each of the exciting new recipes from the series will also be featured on the website, helping to enhance the impressive library of more than 14,000 dishes already available.
