June is African-American Music Appreciation Month, an annual celebration of African-American music in the United States and when it comes to music, all roads lead to Deep South USA.

There's live music all year round, performed in authentic and intimate settings. If you love the blues, tap your toes to country or groove to rock'n'roll, then you'll find your sound in Deep South USA.

Every June the B.B. King Homecoming Festival attracts thousands of people to the town of Indianola. B.B. King helped the blues blossom from its roots in the Mississippi Delta and his legacy continues with this festival held at Club Ebony, just down the road from the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center.

In Bessemer, near Birmingham, you'll find one of the last remaining Southern juke joints - Gip's Place. Since 1952 Gip's Place has been bringing folks together with music as Gip's backyard is a sanctuary for people who want to meet new people and be a part of the love for Blues.

The Louisville Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival allows you to get lost in a soul-satisfying haze of Southern-style blues and pit barbecue smoke while sampling craft beers. Let the sounds of the blues take you away...the music is hot, the food is smokin' and the location is historic!
