King helped the blues blossom from its roots in the Mississippi Delta and his legacy continues with this festival held at Club Ebony, just down the road from the B.B. 2017 Essence Festival, New Orleans

The Riverbend Festival was started in June 1982 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The annual festival goes on for eight nights and ranks in the top 10% of all American festivals with a wide variety of performers covering almost every music genre.
