Tennessee River Trail in Tennessee

The Tennessee River Trail, the latest addition to “Discover Tennessee Trails & Byways,” follows a path through some of Tennessee’s richest river country. The eastern gate of the route departs Nashville on I-40 west to Highway 13 for a visit to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills and then on to Waverly, a historic railroad town complete with a Civil War Fort.

Take Highway 70 to Camden to visit the Tennessee Freshwater Pearl Farm and Museum. Don’t miss Paris Landing State Park before driving south through some of Tennessee’s historic small towns such as Parsons, Linden and Clifton. Travel Highway 69 to Savannah and visit the Tennessee River Museum, the Cherry Mansion and Shiloh National Battlefield. Pickwick Landing State Resort Park on Highway 57 features golfing, camping and boating.
