Gatlinburg SkyLift transports visitors from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, up 1,800 feet above sea-level, to the top of Crockett Mountain where the record-breaking Gatlinburg SkyBridge is located. As you arrive at the top, you'll find the SkyDeck's amphitheater seating where you can relax and take in sweeping views found nowhere else. Look out over Gatlinburg and across to the highest peaks of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
After exploring the SkyTrail, including the spectacular SkyBridge, enjoy refreshments in the SkyCenter then ride the lift back down the mountain, enjoying the ever-changing views throughout the journey. The Gatlinburg SkyLift is the longest-running attraction in Gatlinburg and a must-do experience for thousands of visitors each year. Today's SkyLift is a smooth, comfortable, three-seat chairlift that was built in 2017, but the original Gatlinburg SkyLift was the first four-season scenic chairlift in the South when it opened in 1954.
Gatlinburg SkyBridge
The longest on the continent and one of the 10 most Scenic Spots in the US (according to CBS News). Located at the top of the iconic SkyLift, the Gatlinburg SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America and the most unique experience in the Smokies. From the mountain-top SkyDeck, the SkyBridge stretches almost 700 feet across a deep valley in a single span! Guests can walk across at their own pace, taking in the panoramic views before walking back when they're ready. With a height of 500 feet above Gatlinburg, the SkyBridge is an incredible but easily attainable experience you'll remember for a lifetime - especially if you can cross the 30-feet of see-through glass flooring in the middle of the span. Gatlinburg SkyTrail
The Gatlinburg SkyTrail is a scenic walkway connecting each end of the SkyBridge and provides guests the opportunity to take a leisurely hike in the mountains while enjoying new views of the famous SkyBridge. At just over one-third of a mile in length, the SkyTrail is an enjoyable walk for adults and kids offering three distinct sections. The SkyTrail is currently open for day and night-time use, with the exception of the Tulip Tower, which is only accessible during the daytime hours of operation.
The Elevated-Boardwalk is a wooden walkway leading from the SkyDeck back along the hillside of the ravine that cuts under the SkyBridge. Along the way, interactive signage provides information about the engineering of the SkyBridge, the history of iconic Gatlinburg SkyLift, and the wildfires of 2016 that swept across Crockett Mountain where the SkyTrail stands today. This elevated walking area is unlike anything else in the Gatlinburg area!
The Tulip Tower is a 70' steel tower set in the back of the ravine accessed by two rope bridges and features four elevated viewing platforms. There is a special story behind the theme and story of this tower, with information on each level. At the top of the tower, enjoy a very unique view of the Smokies and the iconic SkyBridge. This is an adventure for all ages!
The Path is the non-boardwalk portion of the trail cut into the natural hillside extending from the Tulip Tower across to the west end of the SkyBridge with views of the Smoky Mountains from every step. This section really highlights the spectacular engineering marvel- the Gatlinburg SkyBridge, along with the stunning panoramic views of the highest peaks in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Gatlinburg SkyDeck
It's all about the views as you experience the Great Smoky Mountains. The SkyDeck amphitheater seating features an expansive view of the Great Smoky Mountains and downtown Gatlinburg, outdoor seating areas, tiered waterfall, firepits and the spectacular SkyCenter building. Day or night, from your position on top of Crockett Mountain, you'll enjoy sweeping scenic views and vantage points that exist nowhere else.
Relax in an outdoor chair on the deck to take in the vista and watch visitors crossing the SkyBridge. Gatlinburg's Anakeesta
There's magic in the mountains! Anakeesta is the award-winning outdoor family theme park in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. Admission includes all day access to the park with unlimited rides on the scenic chondola where you can choose an open air-chair or an enclosed gondola cabin. For guests who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, unlimited rides on the Ridge Rambler Adventure vehicle provide a scenic ride through Smoky Mountains with access to the summit.
