Enjoy Tennessee’s natural beauty while improving your handicap on championship public and resort courses. Play one of the 12 public championship course along the Tennessee Golf Trail, which includes some of the nation’s best. Tee off over rolling Bermuda-sod fairways amid towering pine and hardwoods at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. The course, 20 miles north of downtown Chattanooga, is surrounded by water and dense forests. Or golf along dogwood trees at the traditional Montgomery Bell course in Burns, ranked among the nation’s top 100 courses.

In Southeast Memphis, TO Fuller State Park Golf Course is often described as a diamond in the rough. In Nashville, Gaylord Springs has hosted a Champions Tour event. An hour and a half south of the city and surrounded by Tims Ford Lake, you’ll find Bear Trace at Tims Ford, which its challenging Jack Nicklaus Signature course. If you’re looking to play in winter, head to the George Cobb designed Warrior’s Path State Park Golf Course. 

In Crossville, “The Golf Capital of Tennessee”, there are more than 200 holes on 11 courses atop the Cumberland Plateau. You could golf there for days, but don’t pack up your clubs when you’re done.
